My very first job was at Wheat & Meat Retreat, a little health food store that was as unique as its name implies. Over the years since then, I’ve worked at two fabric stores and one hardware store, managed a bookstore, assisted the chef in a corporate cafeteria, waitressed at a family-style restaurant, served as a college librarian, set up two historical archives, performed executive assistant duties for a non-profit, and designed websites for freelance clients. Today, I’m a writer and life purpose coach.
But none of these roles were or are my purpose. In all of them, though, I’ve lived my purpose. And now that I know what it is, it’s amazing to be able to look back and see that purposeful thread running through all my many and varied roles.
And that’s the neat thing about life purpose. It applies to all areas and stages of our lives.
Living our God-given purpose is possible no matter our jobs or relationships, no matter our age or physical ability, and no matter if we’re we’re alone or with others.
Even though our calling or our roles may change throughout our lifetime, our life purpose always stays the same. If we’re still here, we can still live our purpose. In fact, that’s why we are still here — to live our purpose.
Not only do I believe that God has put each person on this earth for a specific purpose, I also believe that He strategically designed each one of us with a unique set of gifts, talents, and abilities to equip us to fulfill that specific purpose He’s given us.
As a life purpose coach, I strive to provide a safe haven for individuals to discover their unique purpose and to explore what it means to live that purpose and to thrive in their true identity.
I hope that you will become one of those individuals and that together we can discover that special and unique purpose that God has strategically given to you and created you to fulfill!
